FDIC Insurance

Gold Country Bank is participating in the FDIC’s Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Under that program, through December 31, 2010, all non-interest bearing deposit transaction (i.e. checking) accounts, including Lawyers Trust Accounts (IOLTAs), and NOW Accounts paying less than 0.25% interest are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account. Coverage under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program is in addition to and separate from the coverage available under the FDIC’s general deposit insurance rules.

The standard insurance amount is $250,000 per depositor. The FDIC made this permanent as per the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act enacted on July 21, 2010.
